FIND OUT MORE ABOUT QUIET CORNER SENIOR CHORUS:
Is this chorus only for Plainfield residents? -- No! We just rehearse in Plainfield. We have members from all across the Windham County area and beyond—everyone in the Quiet Corner region is welcome.
How long is each rehearsal? -- Rehearsals typically run about 90 minutes to 2 hours usually with some socializing and snacks after rehearsal.
Do I need to read music? -- No, all levels of experience are welcome.
What should I bring to rehearsal? -- Just your voice, a black three ring binder (we’ll provide music), and a smile! Comfortable shoes and a water bottle are also a good idea.
Is there a fee to join? -- This is a FREE chorus. No membership fees or monthly dues.
Can I attend just to listen? -- Absolutely! Visitors are always welcome to sit in, observe, or even sing along. Come see what we’re all about. There's no pressure to join right away but we'd love to have you come back next rehearsal!
Do I have to perform in concerts to be part of the group? -- Not at all! Performing is encouraged but always optional. You’re welcome to rehearse with us even if you choose not to sing in public shows. You can even help us backstage at performances!
How do I get involved in performances? -- We’ll guide you along the way!
Where do you perform? -- We sing at senior centers, libraries, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, local small events, community fundraisers, and seasonal celebrations throughout Eastern Connecticut.
